It’s an obsession that I have recently developed. Using cleansing balms! This product came highly recommended to me by many people. It’s a cleansing balm – works as the most fabulous makeup remover I’ve ever used! This will be your best friend on those nights where the last thing you want to do is remove makeup. If you wear eye makeup on the daily, I seriously cannot rave enough about this product.
The product claims that it is a lightweight makeup remover that quickly dissolves tenacious eye and face makeups, sunscreens and transforms from a solid balm into silky oil upon application. It cleans thoroughly, rinses off completely. Is non-greasy; Non-drying. Suitable for all skin types.
My take on the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm
The product comes in a huge tub with a screw on silver lid. The packaging is quite sturdy though its pretty big for carrying around. Its also a tub packaging which means you’ve to dip in your fingers every time to scoop out the product. Now considering the solid consistency of the product, a tub is the most obvious thing to house it in but I still don’t like dipping my fingers in every time. Sometimes, I’m halfway through removing my makeup and realize I need a little more of the balm and have to wipe my fingers clean first before scooping out some more product.
The product has a thick chapstick-like balm consistency and on light massage on the skin, it melts to a light oil. To remove my makeup, I scoop a small amount of the balm and massage it using my fingers on my entire face (on dry skin) including the eyes. It dissolves light makeup within 10 seconds of massage and more stubborn waterproof makeup is another 20-25 seconds. I then use a few drop of water and massage that into the balm-oil on my face.
The GOOD about Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm :
- – Removes all makeup
- – Balm transforms to light oil – washes off easily with water
- – Leaves the skin feeling very soft and supple
- -100% allergy tested and fragrance free (though there’s a bit of an odour *haan ji* ).
- -Clears off tough makeup that has sunscreen (we all know how difficult it is to get rid of foundations with sunscreens).
The BAD about Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm :
I don’t find any..
Should I recommend Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm?
Ever since I have started using it, I have never looked at any other makeup remover. This is the second time I have purchased this product and that means a lot which is why I was enticed enough to review it this time. I love this product! Highly recommended!
